I get beat up nasty by opponents who go all defense on me and get me while ganon lags if he misses the grab, any one know what i could do in this situation possibly any good mind games i could play (occationally charging towards them and wd backwards lets me catch them in their dodge)?

Just learn to space fairs and forward tilts so that they can't shield-grab back, and mix it up with your own jump-cancelled grabs and Gerudo Dragons. The neutral A is also very effective against shielders, as it's so fast you can simply stand there and jab their shield all day until they decide they've had enough and move away.

just stumbled on to something today that made my ganon a whole lot better, i was messin around in training mode (i usually train in vs mode) so i was trying to shff then wavedash after landlag, then i tried to shffl, then wd but since i was in training mode the c stick didnt do squat and i found ganons wd from a shff is insanly fast and long, and the lag seems reduce as if as soon as you land you could attack(dont know the frames so id say 10frames for the sake of the air dodge). i was playing a sheik player today and noticed shff wd's keep me on her all over the place, neutral a's and tilt down a's were owning the crap out of her and the occational air in the shffl kept her from just dashing into me as i slipped and slided all over the place. might not be something new but wow, didnt think ganon could wavedash that good.

found a fun little trick i use with ganon, works good on player who dont know ganons thunder punch can hit from behind, basically damage an opponent and turn around and quickly shffl b+air options 1. they run into it 2. they dont. if they dont (best part) wd backwards and thunder punch quickly roll and thunder puch again, too much fun try it out.

Edit your posts, it'll help keep the mods away. Double posting isn't the way to go.

I think the bet way to do this would be to sffl f-ar-thunderpunch then link it together. the l-cancelled f-air into a thuderuch ha very little lag. Also just sidestep after landing instead of shielding.

yeah that works well, its fun to do a thunder punch and hit them with the back of it cause people think his back is easy to hit (it is but atleast he has one defense)so they charge bline and when you wd thunder punch they think twice before dion it again

When you say wd after shffl, do you land and then wd or wd from the air by doing the diagonal dodge in the air? Just wondering, cus my friend is in dire need of Ganondorf help.

if your friend uses alot of airs he could shff "without an air" and land into a wd (from air)best backwards if against a dashing sheik) and could use a thunder punch or grab the opponent, wd from a shff is pretty useful in keeping the opponent guessing if the aerial is coming by this time, but using this is useless if your friend isnt aggressive in his ground game.
