im noticing new terms i have not heard before like wave dash and DI (whatever that means)
can someone tell me what this means? or show me a place where i can find out?

That should have all the information you need. By the way, how come you posted this in the character specific forums? You should have gone to the Melee Discussion for a question like this (these forums are for specific character techniques, and Wavedashing and DIing are for everyone), and then you'd see the previously mentioned thread.
