Fox vs. Sheik help

I'm a fox player looking for some advice defeating the hated sheik players... you gotta hate that ariel punch she has...

Try to get grabs and then up throw to up air. And most people refer to it as the slap not a punch(sheik is a girl in case you didn't know)

Shiek's only clear cut weakness is her weight. Fox can kill her pretty easily with an up-throw up aierial combo. She doesn't slide very far after the shine (Down+B), so try and get in the habit of jump-canceling it, or wavedash out then do a dash-grab.

If the Shiek likes to spam her down-smash, jump above then fast-fall an up aierial. You can juggle her for a good couple of hits. When she catches you in her tilt comboes, there isn't much you can do. You can try to DI (Directional-Influence: Holding the control stick in a certain direction as to move in that direction while in the air) but it wouln't do you much good.

If they are grab-happy, you need to dodge and use their strategy against them. lol then try to keep them from touching the ground. Rinse and Repeat.

Some things to watch out for are her excellent edgeguarding game vs Fox and how she can chase your tech very easily from her down throw.

Then again, she can be juggled to death very easily by Fox. Practice that in games vs Shiek. Shiek isn't that tough, but she isn't that great of a matchup for Fox either.

I play Zelda though, and own Foxes. :)

Uthrow to uair works really well until your opponents get smart and learn to DI up and to the side upon being grabbed (see CJ vs. Isai MLG Finals). The next best thing is drillshine combos... drill, waveshine, and go into a usmash, dtilt, grab, jab, fair>utilt, etc. Uair juggles are fun too. Goad Sheik into wasting her second jump, and from there, she doesn't really have any means of avoiding uair if you can aim well.

drill shine to uptilt or drill to uptilt rapes sheeeeeek. You get below her and you win.

Do your best to keep her in the air and stay on the ground[with the exception of drill shining]. Try to not get caught in any combos or anything that could lead into a combo like a grab. Shiek needs to get close for damage so be ready to shine a lot. Try reflecting needles but don't make it a priority because the lag reflector produces could let her get close to you. Also, depending on the stage, use Fire Fox for recovery at a steep angle so you kind of scroll up the sides. This will prevent shieks needles from stopping your return to the stage.

I would up-throw to aierial, drill shine to up-throw, shine her off isn't to hard, and back kick helps alot.
