I need some strategies when recovering with Roy. Most of the time, I get knocked off the side, and I fail to make it back to the stage, even WITH DI, and the Blazer> (when I tilt to gain the extra horizontal distance). I often use the DED as a means of gaining extra horizontal distance, and when I do it, I usually go B>, wait for it to finish, then B> again and again, doing the first move nonstop. What does everyone else do, and how effective is it. Because the only problem I have is recovering horizontally.

Thats what everyone does. Roy's recovery isn't that long reaching... you can try to save your 2nd jump (helps against edgeguarders) and always try to sweetspot the edge w/ blazer... there's not much to say =/

That's right, pal. What makes it worse is that saving your second jump usually isn't an option if you're sent far from the edge... I basically do the same thing as you when I recover with Roy. The only thing I can suggest is master the timing of his DED first hit, so you know exactly when to Forward B again without moving onto the second hit, slowing down your slight ascent.

If you're lacking the horizantal closeness, then you should do f-b and THEN do the blazer. It's kinda dumb to do this if you're too low, though, because usually the F.B. usually makes you drop a bit.
