invincible

My friend said that he saw a doc player become invincible and stay that way for quite while but he couldn't remember how he did it..... Anybody heard of this before. This is without items on everything. Just thought i would add that just incase.

the doc is always invincible :p

hmm... All I know is that he's invincable for a short period when he climbs on the ledge by simply pushing up but I've never heard of walking around invincable except when u just got killed and step out of the angelic thingy

unless i heard him wrong but i am sure that my friend said that after he got up off the edge he could walk around a short while invincible.. i don't know?

Sounds like a hoax/joke, or he might just be referring to the invincibility frames from edge hogging (rolling gives more frames than just hitting up, btw). Someone on here would have found out how to do it by now, if it were true :)

you can be invincible if you drop off the ledge and then wavedash onto the platform. when doc drops and then jumps, he's in perfect position to wavedash onto the platform. since his wavedash is fast, he stays invincible during the whole motion. you can do just about anything out of it. it's really useful.

I don't think thats what he meant but i have heard of the wavedash from the edge and all and have been working it in my game. I am sure you all do this but.... Do any of you use his his big fist air move while hanging on the edge. You do it the same as the wavedash and everthing but instead of doing the wavedash u do his big fist move(not sure what to call but its all the same anyways). Its kinda slow but it can catch them off guard. I find it to be useful!

Plz tell me how to do this. Can you ask your friend the exact directions he took to do this. Even though it sound's like a glitch maybe it can be repeated.

I will try but the way my friend was talking it seems like the guy that showed him could do it on command. I will try and get some more information from him and see if i heard him wrong or not.

OK, cool. Thanks dude. I am new to these boards obviously and need some serious catching up with these new techniques. Like Wavedash. And I saw something about wavefall, which I think I already know. Any more techniques anyone can supply?

I'm not so sure if this is correct, but I believe if you hit forward-b with doctor mario he can cape things at the opponet. Does this same thing work with mario? I know in Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo when you got the feather you could do it. Try it out sometime...

I'd trust BigGman on this. At a recent tournament, he was showing me the Doc wavedash onto the ledge and pulled off a down smash all while staying invincible. It was some krazy kool stuff. I'm sure that's what your friend was talking about... Mostly because I think I'm the friend who was talking to you about it, heh.

yea.. he is the friend but i can't seem to get it to work Earthbowser whatever though i gave up on mario and doc and can't seem to rip off to many combos with them. Need better character. I think i just suck at this game. Don't get me wrong though Mario or doc are still in my arsen of characters to use. Oh yea breanne was kicking my butt alot when i was mario and doc too and decided that it wasn't to good of a thing if she can beat me. Stupid Yoshi.

EDIT I might give you a call tuesday and come smash with you dunno though
