Umm... what exactly does the poll have to do with Fox/Falco? >_>"

Anyway, I'm fairly certain the waveshine is with Fox, not Falco. I could be wrong though.

Actually you can waveshine with both, but its more advantageous to do it with Fox rather than Falco.

- Falco's shine, hits straight up, and also is affected (a bit I believe) by percentages of the opponent.
- Fox's, has the same knockback (horizontal and down) everytime, and also does the same damage.

By Waveshining with Fox you can pull of long strings of combos (infinites anyone) and use the set knockback to your advantage. People often follow a shine with the wave shine because you can move the same direction that you just hit them along the ground.

Falco's, It's mostly better (IMO) to JC the Shine so you can sex kick, bair, uair, dair after the shine, because they will be airborne. This sets up for Falco's air game.

Yeah, Falco's air game is devestating once he's the one controlling it. Since you're a Falco player, I recommend looking up on previous threads about his combos since there have been many topics created about it. Common ones include stuff like (at low percentages) Dair, shine, jump dair, shine again and go on with any aerial (nair or bair, preferably) as your opponent would have probably racked up enough damage to DI away from you. To answer your question, waveshine is not *that* great with Falco. But once you can play Falco at a high level, it won't harm to learn it. Who knows when it may come to handy during an actual battle?

Oh and TWP, the percentage of the opponent greatly affects the height at which he flies when hit by reflector. Shining anyone at 400% kills him instantly, compared to that of 50%. ;)

The waveshine is definetly more advantegous to Fox than Falco.

And btw, a "waveshine" is simple. A wavedash out of a shine. TWP and Lxl just went straight into telling you how it was useful, and didn't actually answer your orginal question of "What is a waveshine?" :)

Lol, I suppose you're right, soberfox. I probably was focusing more on the second part of his question, about Falco's moves...

BTW, just in case you don't know, wavedashing is when you jump and right before you leave the ground you air dodge down and to the direction you want to go. You will slide across the ground a bit, and although it doesn't seem useful at first, you can fake people out of it, get a head start when trying to follow up a combo, and, of course, waveshine. Try it with luigi for the most noticable effects.

You're a kid that gets to create monster pet things. You have complete control of what they look like and stuff, and you have to go through and also play thru mini games or something. I looked at the ratings, they said it was pretty good.

Umm... waveshine is essential to any fox or falco player if you want to get to tourny level. So practice. Or something.
