with link i found away to almost never get hit when coming back.....dont use the up b till ur directly underneath the ledge or if u have to grabling hook the side then jump then up b that also works and it always helps the dmg on them

If you sweet spot the ledge the opponent will have a mission trying to punish you. They can’t edge hog the Hookshot, so it’s a tricky tool that you absolutely need to master if you’re going to use Link. Going above the ledge when returning is never a good idea unless you really know what you’re doing.

Hmmm... for the Hookshot, if you nail the enemy with the hookshot while they're on the edge (not invincible) will you hit them _and_ latch on? Or will one cancel out the other? Because it would be fun times if the hookshot bounced them off the edge into a spiral of death. You could also immediately hop upwards to a d-air that would land you right onto the recovering enemy. If they aren't expecting it, a good way to turn the tables.

Yea it hits them and still latches on, but since you’ll both likely be in close range they’d probably expect you do to something to keep them off the stage while they’re getting back, and down aerial off the stage isn’t a good idea.
