Well, some people know that you can cancel Fox or Falco's shine with a grab. After a shine, you just press Z and X/Y at the same time and it'll cancel the shine and grab right after it.

This move is for characters who don't fall over after a Fox shine, like Falcon, Ganon, Link etc.

When Fox does a shine on the ground while he's running, he slides a little bit. So just run at your opponent, shine him, and immidiately do the grab shine cancel and you will grab him directly after the shine. The sliding of the running shine is what makes the grab possible because you sliding will make you stay on par with the hit opponent so you'll end up right in front of him for the easy grab.

You can also cancel into usmash. Frankly, though, this is really just for show; waveshining can do the same thing and it can be used whenever Fox is grounded, not just out of a dash.

Jcing the shine into a grab is nice if the shine gets blocked, though :/

hmm.. that's a good idea, ST. :D the running shine slidy thing is really useful, too, if your oppnent is close to an edge.. you run toward them, reflector, and you shine right off the edge so then you can shinespike them before they recover. what fun!

Check out my video to see it in use. And the shinegrab only works on characters that the infinite works on. But most people tend to CC againsta running Fox so that number gets bumped up a bit more with that included. You can also cling moves with shine and grab them.

Not trying to be smartass, but you could just run up and grab... Probably run into up smash if you have that kind of opening.

Fluffy, you can do what you just said with waveshining too. >_>;

Waveshine, dash (or jump) off, shine again. Not really that hard. I don't have anything against dashing into the shine, but I find it a little unnecessary... waveshining is much more important than just dashing into the shine, and if you can waveshine, there's not much point in learning to dash into shine and cancel into crap unless you just want to look cool.

Suretman: shine of course does tack a little extra damage on, which could be the difference between getting the KO or not. The shine gives more options aswell, like if they shield the shine cancel to a grab, if they don't, u-smash.

Hmm....if you want to make a deal of it, use this at the end of a shine wd shine chain up to the edge, grab from the edge and down throw spike...usually peoplewill be so stressed about the shining they dont DI the down throw....It's not a sure thing, but used uncommonly enough it's a good bet.

I've actually used this since back when I found the yelling dash grab with Doc/Mario....Nice work The GERM finding stuff on your own...it's a good thing to have fresh minds working on new tactics rather than just mirroring the elite....the more people willing to try new stuff, the better our games can get. :)
