Right now, I'm trying to pick up Ganondorf. I've done fairly decently with him against my two friends, but they almost always play fast people, like Fox or Marth (My brother plays Marth and Roy almost exclusively), and they usually give me a pretty hard time. I'd appreciate it if some people could give me some good tips, combos, and strategies for Ganondorf. I've already read Shin's guide; it's really good! I'd just like a few more combos. Thanks in advance! :)

Experiencing things for yourself is easily the most efficient way of learning new stuff. You can't just expect someone to tell you about a magical string of attacks which will suddenly let you rape your bro everytime you guys face each other. Shin's guide is very complete and gives out pretty much all info he could think of about Ganon. The rest is up to you.

With Marth just do lots-o grabs. I find that Marth is one of the few characters where warlock punch gets to shine.

For both characters just use a lot of nimble rolling and play maps with lots of room.

Ok, forget what the above poster wrote. The Warlock Punch is useless (unless your foe just missed with a Rest or somehow got his shield broken, and even then, two aerial down+As in a row would do more damage), and rolling should not be relied heavily upon. Ganon has a pretty quick roll, but still, it leaves him vulnerable.

ganon has the best nuetral-a punch in the game, its extremely fast(same speed as fox/falco shine) and has good knockback, good to use if your under pressure
use lots of aerials, ganons aerials are amazing and his smashes/tilts arent very good

also if your opponent isnt expecting it, use the wizard foot(down-b), good knockback and range, dont overuse it though or youll get predictable

Hooded Homie pretty much said it. Aerials and Neutral A's are your friends.

Wait; his jab comes out in 1 frame? That's sick! I had no idea it was THAT fast

Personally, I think Ganondorf's forward tilt and down tilt are great. Ganondorf's forward tilt come out at a decent speed, good range, and has good knock back power making it a great alternative to the any of his smashes. His down tilt also has good range and it knocks the opponent up, which creates opportunities for aerials.

Yeah, his d-tilt and f-tilt are pretty good; I usually overestimate their range though; I guess I'll get used to it. Here's a small question: what characters can Ganondorf chain-throw, and what are the best percentages for each character? He chain-throws with his up and down throws, right? Thanks
