Just starting this thread to get some insight as to how other Fox users fair in team games. Post your strategies, team combos, teammates, or anything else team related here.
I found that Fox is a great teammate, but it's best if he's paired with someone who can conserve lives well and has very strong KO attacks. The Fox should try to combo and lead the opponent(s) into these KO attacks. It's best if he stays near the center of the level, because if team attack is on he could be KO'ed as well. And since Fox is so fast once your teammate knocks them off the stage he just needs to run up and edgeguard them.
For my friend Steve and I, we usually go with a Fox and Zelda/Shiek combo. They are our best characters, but it seems having Zelda on the team rather than Shiek is a better idea. I'm the damage, he is the kill, that's how we try to strategize. Fox is better at fighting off multiple enemies than Zelda, so I "rush down" the other team and set them up while he "sneaks" in to get the KO's. I try to protect him from attacks, distract the other team, and rack up damage as fast as possible, regardless of what happens to me. He conserves his lives, follows after me, and tries to land a good lighning kick on the other team. If team attack is on we try not to spam KO moves too much. We try to set up for the other person, such as throwing someone into an attack, or we do our best to separate them. When we do separate the other team, he switches to Shiek. We also try to switch opponents randomly so it would be more difficult for them to keep track of what's going on. Edge-guarding-wise, I usually stay near the edge to land a smash attack on a returning opponent, and Steve tries to intercept them midair with lightning kick, or slap if he's Shiek.
I wanna hear what you guys have to say about Fox as a teammate, so speak up!
