Samus certainly doesn't have much struggle against Space Animals, but I'd like to know some more defensive moves.

So far, I've got.

Bombs.
Wavedash.
Up Tilt.
Forward tilt.
Grab if he tries to wavedash or roll away.
Jumping sex kick or up aerial. (if approached from the air)

There must be more, because I have some trouble defending against Space Animal attackers.

I don't enjoy playing Samus against fox, mainly, because his speedy attacks harass me at close range. I try to keep control in this matchup, wavedashing away to keep my distance. I love the downsmash, as it comes out quick and can stop their rushing assault, and can be followed with an aerial. Forward smash kills 'em quick because of their fastfalling, and you can edgeguard with tilts, spikes, or forward smashes if they fail to sweet spot. Try not to edgeguard with the downsmash unless it's the only oprion. If you're in semi-close range, you can do this little trick, which is, you shoot a missile, and then rush in fast with a shuffled D-air. If they down+b'ed the missile and you were quick enough, the d-air will hit, which will allow you to follow up with a combo. I've seen wes do this, if you want proof of this tactics solidity. And... when fox gets you into the air for a u-air rape, use the sex kick to outpriorite him. That's about all that comes to my ****ing idle mind. Just remember: Your spike is a better weapon than you think.

Wow, the sex kick beats his up-aerial? @ @

I gotta try that.

The sex kick isn't guaranteed to beat out Fox's u-aerial; you'd have to time it extremely well to hope for that outcome, or position yourself so that Fox is kicking at Samus' leg. Odds are, if your sex kick is consistently beating Fox's u-aerial out, he's screwing up in landing it. Bombs are a much safer way of dealing with Fox's juggles.

bombs are really tough to time to counter his u air, but you can use the extra mobility you get to get out of the way then fast fall f air when they are trying to get back to the ground.

anyway, how do i deal with a falco's edge guarding, i hate his spike so much, and how do i deal with SH lasers

A f air wouldn't be the best move to use against a fox or falco. They fall so fast that they can counter attack extremely fast afterwards and could just put you back into an up air combo. Your best bet is to just move away and if they try to follow you depending on which way you're facing something with good knockback like sex kick or back air usually does the job. The most you can do about SH lasers is use an ariel move because if you ignore them and walk straight up to them, which by the way is extremely stupid, they will hit you before you get oo close. So using a sex kick or back air, fast falling of course, can put an end to that annoying laser. I suppose you could throw them off by getting just close enough to grab them and then doing it since they won't expect a samus to be grabbing.

**Old advice deleted as it was obsolete**

Anyway, plain and simply, take to the air and approach falco that way. You have many options after that, be creative. There's not very many specific things that you can do because, of course, the falco player has a brain and can alter his strategy too.

I find bombs much easier to time than hoping to land a sex kick through his u-aerial; but maybe that's just me.

As far as evading flaco's spike goes, (this is assuming he stands at the edge of the stage and waits for you to try to grab the ledge) you really have one of two options.

1) Learn to sweet spot the ledge 100% of the time.

2) Beam cancel so that you come up an even distance away from the stage (out of the spike's way). Feel free to either use your jump (if you have it) to make it back to the stage, or take a potshot at flaco with a missile or charge beam (if you're packing), then recover with the Screw Attack. Important thing is to mix up beam cancelling with the usual grapple recovery; it doesn't take a genius to figure out you have to jump out a little to spike if Samus beam cancels each and every time.

Also, if you're hit by the spike, make sure to DI towards the stage; depending on how you're positioned, you may get spiked onto the stage.

Against the SHB, you don't have too many options.

1) Try to power shield
2) Jump and try to hit him with missiles/bombs/aerials
3) Dodge/shield while waiting for flaco to come to you. Anticipate when he'll go from SHB into an attack/grab, and give him a Screw Attack out of your shield between the blaster shot and follow up; timed right, it'll beat out anything and everything (also works nicely whenever Fox/flaco is pressuring the **** out of you with mass shffl'd attacks). Make sure to fall away from him so he doesn't get the chance to retaliate.

Just play ness, he has his djc which is better than shffls, and you'll fit right in cause ness players are in general even whinier than you.

yeah I agree with MLRS completely. besides that you're just wrong. IF you MC and then follow the missle with a short hopped attack it does wonders. Say they dodge the missle and then u sex kick them with out the SH u might as well just MC spam all day.
