just like the subject says. im new to peach, but not to other characters, and am at the point where i l cancel without having to think about it. Peach is unlike any other character in that she has an entirely new technical skill that she can do...so the question is this: should i really learn float cancelling, or can i get away with l canceling?

Yes, you should learn to float cancel. The reduction in lagtime IS in fact significant enough to make it worthwhile. You can chain moves together like you wouldn't believe. You only THINK l-canceling lets you chain moves together. You ain't SEEN chaining till you've float canceled.

Float cancelling is insane, of course you should learn it! Try doing a crownsmack, float cancelling it, into a dsmash. It's insanely fast.

Um. Watch Mike G's Peach, then tell me you can get away without float-cancelling.

That reminds me..I was meaning to download some of his vids the other day, but forgot all about it. The reason I had it on my mind was because someone told me how fast his Peach was.

Mainly due to FC'ing I'm sure.

lol, float cancelling is a must if you want to use your peach in a tournament. There are loads of options after a float cancelled aeriel, the once I use include: Dsmash, wavedash, grab, jump-n-air and d-tilt. but the possibilities are endless, against some characters you can even float cancel b-air with WDs in between to rack up lotsa damage and mayb even KO.
L-canceling is great but Float cancel pwns all :P

Post-FC options are virtually limitless. Slaps, dsmash, DA Dash, turnips, etc. are all excellent post-FC options. There's nothing quite like FC'ing a dair-nair combo into veggies, or FC fair to open them up for Mr. Stitchface.

FC'd uairs from the ground are also one of her best and safest ways to disrupt people who like to come from above. Fox and Falco in particular.

float canceling is sort of necessary if you're the type to vary yourself from aerial-to-ground offence/defence. whatever the case, float canceling should be learned and practiced either way.

or whatever.

Float-cancelled d-air into dsmash (although hard to pull off) is an evil combo! >: D

float canceling is actually pawnilation and is an awsome way to piss your comatition off. I think peach is one of the hardest people to hit when you play against thats mastered it,
