View Full Version : Ways of playing Kirby?

Besides playing a defensive Kirby with CC'ing and tilts, what ways are there to play Kirby. The CC'e doesn't really work against Marths and Peaches, my two biggest enemies in my nearest community. So what to do instead?
And also another simple question. Is Kirby a C.Falcon/Ganondorf counter? Most of their attacks goes right over his head and if you see another attack coming, you just WD away. I'm just curious since I have among the least problem against those. Could it be that those players are inexperienced against Kirbys or is he simply a counter?

You also can make use of Kirby's aerials. They're all very good except for n-air.
Both Marth and Peach are tough match ups for Kirby.
For Marth, you'll need to use mind games to get into his range, such as dashdancing and wavedashing. A quick aerial or a JC grab is good if you see a opening.
For Peach, you'll need to use mind games also, as her n-air and d-smash are fast and out prioritise your attacks.
I wouldn't say Kirby is a CF/Ganon counter. A good CF/Ganon would destroy Kirby with shuffled aerials even when Kirby is crouching.

Please view the other threads in this forum. These discussions have already taken place in a few of them ^^
You may have to expand the topics shown by increasing the days since the last post (it's a little box at the bottom. The default is 5 days, but you can go all the way to topics from the beginning).
In general, the better Kirby players have strayed from using the exploitable CC defensive methods and more into chaining aerials. As I said, view the other topics for more info.
