Tips on Luigi versus a Sheik...

Does anyone have some tips for a Lui vs. Sheik battle? I play Lui (obviously) and i usually am against a Sheik...I was just wondering if there were any good strats/combos that I don't know about....

I know the sex kick has amazing priority against a Sheik...but I tend to do badly against Sheiks...

Luigi on Sheik is a uphill battle. ESPECIALLY in NTSC... The two most effective things to do against Sheik are: When Sheik is at low percents up throw into a aeriel move. It will work until the damage gets to high. And second, when Sheik is off the stage force her to use her UpB, but edgehog so she can't go to the edge. When she UpB's to the stage quickly get up (preferable wavedash onto the stage, but usually just standing up will be fast enough) and UpB her.

sheiks b-air alone is better then all of luigi's aeriels (range and priority wise). if a sheik spams b-air, luigi won't be able to out prioritize her at all. b-air also owns luigi's recovery. especially the way Captain Jack edgegaurds, grab edge, gain invincibility, fall off edge, double jump, b-air while still maintaining invicibility, repeat, ownage. and then when luigi is above, up-air will always go through neutral, so you will have time a d-air, which is not the easiest thing since sheik is so quick and it often only exchanges.

then the down throw is very deadly on luigi. at low percent it combos into tilts which combo in aeriels. at high percent down throw combos straight into aeriels. after playing LOTS of matches against Isai and Captain Jack's Sheik one down throw at high percent results in a f-air if you DI forward, and a u-air or b-air if you DI back or not at all. and when you play a quality sheik you get grabbed a lot, ie. shield grabbed, dashdanced grabbed, jab grabbed, etc...

then even if you can somehow survive to decently high percents, sheik can actually jab luigi into a aeriel. and also when i asked CJ for some advice for fighting sheik, he seriously said, "absolutely impossible" :(
