I did this move in training mode. I'll mention the step on how I did it.

1. Hook up 2 controllers to your GC.
2. Go to training mode and choose Link, and choose Link for the CPU as well.
3. When training mode begins, press start and the menu will open, put the cursor to damage and put it on around 350-375% and put the CPU on Human.
4. Now control the Link with the high damage and use Link's Bomb/Spin Attack Recovery.
5. Do it on an open space like Final Destination most preferably.
6. Now just continuously do Link's extra recovery move before he falls to the ground Try to do it on the left side of final destination so you wont hit ground.
7. Link should be in the air for a long time, and this technique is great practice for Link's Bomb Spin Attack Recovery.

Ive been in the air for like 3 whole min. Longer than what Jiggly puff can be in the air for. And after a while of doing it, your damage racks up that you eventually fly too high and you KO yourself. Its really fun. I would take some vids of this if only I had the equipment to do so.

This is funny because it looks like Link is abusing himself, lol. I always called this "Paddle Link," because it looks like paddle ball only Link is the ball and the bombs are the 'people' hitting him. My favorite thing to do is to DI upwards and become a star. Why the helicopter reference, though?

Yeah, its fun. Its kinda like a hidden minigame, lol. I used the reference helicopter, cause Link is in the air for so long using his spin attack like a helicopter to stay in the air, even though bombs are hitting him. Did you know about this from before HDL?

Yea I knew about it but I tend not to bring up certain things you can do with Link because then people want videos and I feel bad because I can’t make any. Like my post in the Official Glitch Topic in MD and my wavedash thread.

I could imagine 3 or 4 Links doing this at once, lol. Link is just too resourceful.

I also did the boomerang/hookshot glitch with Link that send him sky high with this move. Then doing the bomb/spin attack recovery at high damage. I thought he was gonna pop up from the bottom of the screen but he didnt. I seen 2 Luigi's Up+B each other to the sky, then when they went up tooo high you would see the on the way bottom of final D. lol!!!

It does that in Training mode, too. Go far from the opponent and hold up on the C Stick, and the magnifying glass should appear on the opposite side.

LOL. The Link can fly reminded me of peter Pan. Wow i must be stoned or something. It sounds pretty cool i guess but i dont feel like testing it.

oh really. you use C-Stick Up to show Link at the bottom of the stage when he entered from top, lol. awesome, will have to try that. And congrats on making it to the MBR HDL.

Woah, hold the phone. Are you saying like over 200% you can almost endless bomb recovery? Like, toss a bomb, up+B into it, blow up, grab another one, repeat? That's a pretty awesome time staller, looks cool and could change the tide of a timed stock match. Plus it hasn't been banned like the peach bomber thing.

oh wait, did you say 350%? Well it's good pratice, and it sounds fun.

Hey, how do you get into the MBR?

CaliburChamp

Well the lowest damage you can have to stay in the air like that is 300% damage, if its any lower than that, then Link drops down too fast. It would be mighty hard to survive to get to 300% damage, unless your in a sudden death mode. Oh yeah, I like that idea!!! Stall until the bombs start exploding every where. ^_^

Go to Sudden Death and pick Temple, then stay on the bottom right of the stage to stall the time, lol. I’d imagine only Jigglypuff or people with projectiles being able to hit you (unless they drop down from the right side above and suicide just to hit you), though the projectiles might not pose that much trouble unless they are really devastating like Samus’s Charge Shot or Missiles. This is probably one of the most fun things to do with Link, besides beat people with him, lol.

Ricky, I got into the MBR because of this: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41805

And Ricky, don’t you have AIM or some way I can contact you? I’d like to speak with you in private and I’m not sure if you’d respond to PMs (most people I sent PMs to didn’t respond).

Its really disapointing to me that I didnt make the MBR when I have over 1000 posts, intelligent threads, host Zero Ping. I also have a good resume in the MBR application thread. Its really bothersome how some people got in and dont go on SWF that much and how unstructural and unproofable their resume was since they didnt post any intelligent topics they made. Had to get that off me.

But anyways, the move could work on Final D in sudden death mode.

Hey cool! this si reallly fun!!!

although, it could be considred very cheap by some people, i certainly wouldnt use it in a tournament.....

one of my favourite recovery moves with link is to use the aerial hookshot to grab onto stuff.. also, to get an extra boost, use air dodge up and then air hookshot IMMEDIATLEY after, its really cool, i dont hink many people know you can do hookshot after an air dodge..

Holy **** you can air dodge then hookshot O.O this is unbelieveable I gotta start doing this omg I didn't know that!!! I'd also like to know how you wouldn't want to concider this in a tournament? could it be that it is impossiable for you to get 350% in a match.

Yeah you can air dodge to hookshot with Link, Y. Link and Samus. And this is just really for fun. The only way this move might work is in Sudden Death mode, where you can just jump off the edge of FD and stall and use this move somewhat like the annoyance of peach bomber on Fourside.

I don’t recall Calibur mentioning anything about using it in a tournament, but I did see him mention that it’s fun to do. *goes to check again* Hrmmmmmmmm, I have to think about this one, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........ Nope, I don’t see anything about it being in a tournament besides what BladeMarth said.

BladeMarth, to answer you in a less cynical manner, using the Hookshot after an air dodge is a widely known common technique. It also shows it in the special bonus video (not in PAL version) so I’d imagine people would learn about it fast.
