Is fire cancling useful with fox? Thats when u use your shine and then fire fox right away.

Nobody's posting in response for you so I'll give you a use. Run at the edge when an opponent is there...shine, and fire fox...you'll move across slightly and catch the edge to edgehog...enjoy.
It's a pretty useless tactic otherwise btw.

Well, fire canceling doesn't exist actually, it's jumping out of the reflector and do fire fox immidiatly while jumping.
Maybe usefull for shinespiking, but still useless for other things.

i use that technique, makes shine spiking a little safer.
a good variation is to dash shine when they're close to the edge [which nocks em off] then fall shine em again
or if you cant to that, shine em, then when you jump -> fire, go down and towards the edge and you may hit them if they can make it back. if not, youre there waiting for em.
the shine to shine spike is far more devastating of course i think.. ;x

"Fire canceling" just sounds basically like Jump cancelling the shine and then fox firing. You have to do this from time to time when you jump out to spike them, but usually you can so a shine-turn into an edgegrab, as that's the best scenario.
