I need sum tips on fox

i am trying to beat this falco player but he gets really anoying with his spike and i cant edgeguard cuz he used b side and sweet spots da egde is there any way i can counter this?

Edge hogging can work against the sweetspotter, but it'd be kinda difficult against Falco; you may just have to catch him off guard.

Remember: Falco is a fast-faller, so you'll want to KO him off the sides rather than the top. Fox has difficulties with that, so be careful.

If you manage to shinespike Falco, he's pretty easy to keep down, so if you're really good at it, you can pull of an extra stock from time to time.

All in all, just try to keep on your toes and use Falco's terrible recovery against him.

Fox's up throw is a great set up to combo Falco death...

Dont be afraid to go out for the shine spike. If you get it, Falcos gone for sure.

Down-Smash for a good edge-guard.

Use forward smash to edgeguard. The end of the attack will go under the level and hit him out. You have to time it well, but it's very useful. Downsmash is good if you can get your legs to extend out from the ledge. You could also roll back on the egde so you are right on the edge and facing away then reflector as he comes in for the ledge grab. Upthrow to upsmash works wonders. Avoid the lasers, and you can tech the spike if you are hugging the wall as you come up to grab the edge. Just slam up and towards the edge and press L or R and you will wall tech jump off the level after the spike. And abuse forward smash more against Falco. It's better for KO'ing him. Use upsmash more to rack up damage then throw in the forward smash to finish him off.

Everyone has pretty much nailed it. Instead of using your usmash as your main KO, use Fox's inferior fsmash on Falco, considering Falco's recovery basically says that if he is knocked over the edge, he's dead if your a decent edgeguarder. Shine spiking him is easy, but watch out for his phantasm, because it's a spike from **** that will catch you off guard if you aren't careful.

Yea.... like you here from the other posts the main object to beat faclo is up-grab and combo from there.

And forward-smash , down-smash works well for edgeguarding

^ yep. YS rapes Falco if you keep on him. Dsmash his illusion, Shine him if he attempts to up+b. On flatland, play from your shield and approach with full hop nairs.

Wow, every1 nailed it. Against falco's in general, try to be the aggressive one. Most falco's are aggressive and expect to be on the attacking end. If you can pressure him, then with foxes superior mobility you should be able to get him into a tight spot. To answer your question specifically, just read all the above posts =)

I've recently started utilting falco's illusion. under 100 it leads to bairs easily. try that if they keep coming straight at you.
