View Full Version : Marth's aerial foward B

I've noticed with Marth's aerial F. B attack, the first swing--the one that's supposed to keep Marth afloat the most--randomly gives out to gravity at some moments.
I know if you touch the ground again, the first swings' properties are supposed to reset, but it isn't always so.
Does anyone have a clue as to what the deal with this is? I'm trying to work something new into my game and it's seriously screwing me up.

I think I know what you're talking about. When the gravity seems to give out, I'm pretty sure there is a loss of momentum for Marth to gain horizontal distance, thus Marth's forward B just attacks and doesn't move you forward. Usually this happens when a strong attack from your opponent is crouch cancelled, and there is nearly no vertical knockback.
Hope I helped:)

Maybe you didn't actually touch the ground and thats why the move didn't reset?
I unno... at least I understand what you're talkin about :p

the loss of momentum comes from doing the first slash of air forward b then doing an aerial afterwards, try it w/ both marth and roy
So you mean, forward B --> areal move --> forward B won't work anymore? I don't get it..
Are Marth's/Roy's foward B attack(aerial) faster than their fair?

If you are rsing and uses forward B you go downwards instead of up....
yeah...
whatever.
Are Marth's/Roy's foward B attack(aerial) faster than their fair?
I think their about equal in speed, but the Fair has actual knockback, more range and does more damage.

I found out that you can do a double Shorthopped aerial with Roy too, but the first one is ForwardB and the second can be Fair.
Itīs weird that if you try to pull this out again you fastfall for using the For.B in air.
???
and after that it resets. Is there an other way reseting the (non-fastfalled) forward-b?
