Ok, im picking up Samus because i find her fun to play with.
i read the guide by Cap'n Crunch, and it said much and was helpful, but did not make me a pro player just by reading it.
i was wondering...
1. whats the best way to edgeguard?? i prefer jumping out with a sex kick, but are there better ways??
2. Is it worth using the slow jump just to missile cancel, or should i rather use ground missiles when someone is appraoching fast?
3. should i ever use the homing missile??
4. air or ground??
5. How much should i use bombs??
6. which technical skills are most important to use??
Thankful for help.

1) Definately missile spammage if they don't have a deflector. Force them low so you can edge-hog them. Otherwise, good ol' classic edgeguarding is fine. (forward smash, forward tilt, and in a few cases up tilt. Sex kick is cool too)
2) It depends. If they're long range just fire them away. If you want to, say, do another action immediately after firing missile cancel. (Dashing for example)
3) NEVER if they're off the edge. But if they're at a low angle or you don't want to jump while they're at a high angle, they're perfect. Always try to attack, no matter what it takes. Homing missiles allow you to hit your foe in many situations. Remember, jumping followed by a missile is stronger, but leaves you vulnerable in few cases.
4) Ground, air is for aerial defense. For most of the characters, you should jump at them if they attempt an aerial attack and hit them good. Against characters like Link and Ganondorf, be careful.
5) Bombs are used for both recovery and controlling your foe. If you drop a bomb. The foe either has to walk into it, destroy it or jump over it. Very important against Sheiks.
6) 1. Wavedashing
2. Bomb Jumping
3. In a few cases, going beserk with missile cancels. (jumping around and missile cancelling)

There's a thread about Falcon here, who's a threat to Samus in many situations. Fox gives Samus plenty of trouble, and Marth, Peach, and Shiek aren't great matches.

IMO, Sheik, Jiggs and Marth are bad matches for Samus. I like to play space animals because I am able to power sheild missles very well, so I catch them off guard all the time when they reflect a missle, and I power sheild it back when they drop their reflector. A good Peach is also a bit of a bad match for Samus. Not as much though.

Yeah, Space Animals are simple game.
I find Sheik VS Samus is an even match-up, as well as Jigg's.
One character that has given me some trouble is Doc. Their constant pill spam makes many things impossible.

3. should i ever use the homing missile??
Only if they of the edge and you have charge shot cause if they get hit by thsi they be stun and you can hit them dead on. Also if they dodge then you can hit them dead on still. The fact that it move slow make it all better too cause it will follow them but still thsi isn't a godo thing to do. That's the only useful thnig I can really think off.
Also doesn't it stop DK, bowser and some other's up+b too?

ok, if someone's off the edge and they dodge and HOMING missile, then i'm pretty sure you could skip edgeguarding and still beat them. the smarter thing would be to shoot a missile and intercept where they're falling, but that's if they're above you. if they're below, a good surprise tactic is to just run off the edge and shoot the beam in their face. also, for keeping a DK/bowser/link off, which are sometimes hard to hit through their upb's, the best thing to do is a fsmash angled down, it hits like a utilt, but has higher priority and reaches farther below the edge. back to the point, i'd say to almost never use homing, i only do them when people are just laying on the ground and won't get up.
anyway, lunadis, were you the "hamster of doom" t-shirt wearing guy at tg^?
i find that sheik and marth really aren't too much of a challenge, but falcon is the hardest for samus i'd say. yeah, something else but i forgot...
