And yes, slower gameplay is more boring. Slower EVERYTHING is usually more boring. You are obviously someone who didn't play Melee competitively, or you sucked at it.

It isn't even necessarily about the speed of the game either. In Melee, people could pull off a really cool, tricky maneuver. In Brawl, you hit people and that is it. There isn't any "tricking" your opponent.

Melee is better than Brawl, end of discussion, and no amount of unknown retards is going to change that.

I'm pretty sure after my first brawl tournament about 50% of the players who went won't show up next time. Let's just say nobody likes playing against a camping Falco for 14 minutes.

A new game will attract new players for the first few tournaments, but once everyone realizes how crappy brawl is competitively nobody will show up except those who win. The people who win won't enjoy winning and will stop going once the money is gone.

On topic: **** watching brawl is boring. Maybe I'll watch a full match eventually.

My original opinion was that Brawl matches were way more boring to watch then Melee ones. Then you seemed to take that as me saying Melee is better, despite never saying that. But I forgive you. You are, after all, a *******.

Also, you are a nobody. No one has ever heard of you. People have heard of the Roman Emperor of the same name, but no one has heard of you in regards to Smash, because you suck, and never placed high. Brawl just came out, I think it is unfair to assume that there won't be ATs or mindgames that were just as good as they were in melee. Melee competetive players seem to have gone into brawl with a mindset of "wavedashing etc. is gone, it can't be good". Who's to say we won't discover even cooler ATs with time? I think that people need to give brawl more of a chance to show its metagame potential before making blunt statements like that.

Actually, many people disagree, why would you be defending it if nobody agreed that Brawl was good. If Brawl sucked, everyone would just go back to playing Melee. I believe there is a Brawl community here, and just because some people whine and complain but are too stupid to just go back to playing Melee is no reason to assume that nobody likes Brawl.

There was nothing wrong with these matches, a larger amount of mindgames are needed as anything you do could potentially hurt you, why is that worse than a super high speed retardo button mashing conflict?
