I was fooling around in training mode and I found that Jigglypuff's pound breaks shields in only two hits.

Each attack was blocked normally, and the shield wasn't held inbetween the pounds.

So has anyone actually managed to break their opponent's shield in a real match? It's a novelty against computer players, since they rarely actually shield. But I can see it happening more in human vs. human matches.

Generally your opponent will get hit w/ the pound before you break their shield w/ it.

edit- lol yes.. but never a Jiggs player ;p

Well Jigglypuff's pound has always been pretty powerful.

No-one really actually ever uses a shield on anything though. They usually didge it, or get hit by it.

I played against a Jigglypuff in tournament once, and pulled a Mr. Saturn first thing in the match. Threw it at him, and his shield broke and died.

Actually, it takes slightly more than 2 hits.

I can do it, but it takes 3-4 pounds.
