Uh, I'm sorry but these brackets make NO sense.

It looks like the winners of the top two matches face off in a 1v1, but the winners of the bottom three have to face off in a 3 player FFA.

Or are these crazy brackets part of the reason why this tournament is called Smash Madness?

Lol, the bottom three aren't facing off in a 3 player FFA, although it seems that way. The first 2 who finish their matches on the bottom first face off, and the winner of that faces the third guy. It was a small mistake in making the brackets, and although that 3 player FFA would've been a good idea, it's still going to be 1v1's.

The rules say to check in via AIM, but does not specify a handle to report to. And I'm not registering a forum ID for one tournament. So ... until that's clarified, this is me, checking in.

Tsl, I see you've added me to msn, but we haven't got a match to play :) We both have Byes, which means we don't have to fight until the next round.

If you want to fight some friendly matches for fun/practise, I'm all for that!

Sorry, I haven't played very many tournaments and have no idea what BYE means. =P Also, this is more of a question for the tournament director: Does this mean me and Erik's next matches would be Round 3 matches then? Or would they still be considered part of Round 2? Would we still have to get our matches done by the end of today?

That's right, your match will be against the winner of However and DaDaWg for round 3. Hopefully we can get this done without a time limit being midnight... so basically whenever you get the chance, you can finish your matches.
