View Full Version : Who else is surprised that the lack of DjC isn't actually that bad?

Before Brawl came out and I heard that the DjC (Double jump cancel for you noobs) was taken out for Ness, I was crushed.

Now that I actually have Brawl, it's not so bad. Adapting to using rising aerials is pretty okay, and now it feels kind of weird to go back to melee.

Besides, nothing feels better than a rising dair that catches your opponent off guard and spikes them to death.

Its different, but not necessarily bad or good.
I miss doing like 7 DJCed uairs in a few seconds, but having the ability to recover with your double jump while doing in fair feels pretty safe.

Hi guys, Im back.

Hello, i remember you from a LONG time ago...
this is obviously not my first account.
The DJ now is better because the DJ swings you around instead of stopping all momentum.
This allows for better Bairs, and Fairs drag people up.
And Uairs can actually be used at the top of the screen (although removal of tap jump would have worked too.)

there are those times when you double jump into an aerial and you wish you could get back down sooner

True.
I also wish I could DJC to add a bit more range to my aerials. Especially when someone rolls behind you and you just barely miss that bair.

But then again, like said, its not ALL bad. Dthrow to DJ fair fastfall fair again works pretty well. As does an uair at the same time as a DJ followed by anotheruair.

At first I was dissapointed in the removal of djc but I have gotten used to it. I don't miss accidentally djcing and doing a move when I'm trying to recover and falling to my death because of it like in melee
