HAMMER!! do melee rules still apply??

ok so in melee i loved nine-ing ppl and watching them die at <50%

so im jus wondering, do the reseting rules and everything still apply in brawl? like has there been any extensive tests?

such as, first hammer cant be 1 or 2
the # last used cant be used again until hammer is used twice
etc.

dunno if this was discussed already, but i cant find it :P

hw seems to me that rules still apply except the fact that 9s come out a hell of a lot more frequently...anyone broken this down mathamatically yet? lol

I'm actually concerned about whether the hammer still cancels your momentum - could someone clear this up for me? :)
