Marth's speed and range

From the videos I've seen, Marth's attacks have quickened. I mean, once the attack is initiated, it ends quicker. And that's sort of disadvantageous. And it seemed as though his range has shortened a slight bit. Is this true, or once you actually play do you realize that it's practically unchanged?

Its basically unchanged and faster attacks mean less punish time.

the sword have less range...... that´s bad:(
