Shiek in tournement mode?

Is there any way to make it so you start as shiek when doing a match in tournament mode? This is very important as the game stop tournaments are using this mode. Round 1 was easy enough that it didn't matter so much but for round 2 I would really be happy if I could figure out how this can be done.

Sheik stands next to Zelda in your character display screen~ click on Sheik and Zelda will stand in the background while Sheik will stand in front.

He's talking about Tournament Mode. To set your character to Sheik, use the C-Stick on a Gamecube Controller, or the C Button on the Nunchuk.
