Luigi has been my common punching bag in Melee. Even in Brawl I find it funny to see Luigi begging for mercy. While I do use Luigi a few times, I mainly use Mario more.

I'm having great difficulties dealing with my bro's Luigi. The jump back kick is quick and has decent range. His normal upper punch (I'm not talking about his shoryuken) is something against ppl who try to land on Luigi.

I played brawl for the first time today but put in quite a few hours i was really impressed with luigi im torn between either him marth or wario as my main. I didnt think he would be that great with wavedashing out but hes still manageable.

freaking luigi has a huge unfair advantage in brawl. His freaking moves have a huge boost in priority, all his arials have like zero lag which is completely ridiculous, some moves are way too powerful for his own good, especially luigi's super jump punch which is probably one of the cheapest kill moves in the game. I hate him with every fiber in my being, he's just too cheap. Too powerful and great for his own good, and this seemingly power all of a sudden comes from nowhere because luigi's always been the lackey, the feeble weakling, and the coward in his real games, especially where his personallity truly shines like in the Superstar Saga Series. I HATE HIM IN JUST BRAWL only because of the fact that his prowess represents a somewhat false luigi, ( I mean he's never been more powerful for Mario except in brawl and melee, come on) and mainly because the characters I main with besides mario and yoshi are slow in the air, so I'm pretty much screwed if I'm not those two characters when I face a good luigi mainer. I promise, I WILL FIND LUIGI'S WEAKNESS IN BRAWL AND EXPOSE IT TO THE WORLD!!!! But don't get me wrong, Luigi is still one of my favorite characters in general, just because he's hecka weird and he cracks me up almost all the time. Hahah, like how he picks his nose constantly when he's stands idle in brawl..

and just for the record, I'm admitting that luigi is great in brawl, and is probably the most improved character that transitioned from melee since he wasn't terribly great in that game.

Heh, I'm sorry cHooKay, but luigi just does not have a weakness that Mario or Yoshi could expose. If I had to describe two luigi weaknesses, I would say that while luigi does have a creative and variable approach game, decent in size and is mobile, he still has to approach projectile spammers carefully, and second, despite his great moveset, he has no weapon to represent a disjointed hitbox for his attacks and he will find himself outranged in certain matchups. Still, overall, he's a really great character.

Luigi's awesome, favourite character by far. Brawl isnt exactly what we were all expecting, but o well......... have to make the best of the given situation I guess.
