Is this "combo" viable in Brawl? If it is, it could be pretty useful.

It's not. I've tried. Next time you think of a combo like this, just think "Would Ademisk think this would be cool?" and then see if I've posted about it.

Not even. The lag from PKF combined with the setup time of PKT, not possible. You can get out of PKF and shield or dodge every single time.

It is a fun combo when you manage to pull it off. In a with friends match last night, managed to catch a metaknight in there before ending the match with PK Jibaku when he was up to 100% damage.

Depends on what kind of people you're playing. Nearly every non-pro person I've played still gets stuck in PK Fire pretty easily, and with Ness' tighter PKT (At least in my experience it is MUCH tighter) it's valid against casuals.

So? Just spamming PKT2 works on casuals.

I said 'Depends on who you're playing.' Some idiots can see you coming when you're setting it up originally.

Thunder Swell Surprise still works (I think)

Everything works. Better in fact.
And if you're not talking about tournament play, it doesn't really matter. Casual play is for fun, so it doesn't matter how good you are. If you're talking about how to make Ness better, then it only matters how it works against good people.

Heh, could've sworn there were a couple vids of some nasty Usmash combos in Melee. It's not useless, it's moderately good for juggling if you need priority over efficiency. He was playing, was it Fox? Not sure, but long story short, saved his butt on his last stock.
