In team battle, can you have a friend play with you, or is it completely random. I have a friend that I play with a lot and if we want to play together does it need to be only in the "with friends" mode or can you invite friends to the "with anyone" mode?

I think you can. I'm not sure though. I know you can play on the same TV in dbls though
