dash attack canceling to f smash?

at this video at about 1 50, falco cancels his dash attack to up smash, does this work for everyone or just falco, well snake does it to in the match. Can anyone lighten things up for me? I don't own the game but Im wondering about this.

I'm pretty sure that most, if not all, characters have a cancelable dash attack. I think that dash cancels can also lead into tilts.

No. This only works with snake wario and falco. Their dash attacks cancel into up smashes only.
