So we all know that Brawl is full of more counterpicking matchups and characters prioritize over others vice versa. So from what you have experienced, what are your impressions of the matchups involving Toon Link. Seeing as I plan to main him like many of you, I'm sure most of you would like the opinion of others' also. From what I've experienced, I've had a few problems with MK and Zelda (MAYBE ROB), yet those were not long enough to be a strong statement.

While I was facing Metaknight, it seemed he over prioritized my aerials in every way. Same goes for Zelda's ground moves and specific aerials I couldn't touch. Then again it was my first time playing and I JUST realized my dumb absence of projectiles. Any thoughts on this to others who have played Toon Link?

Well, if he's anything like link (really annoying) and his playing style then he could matchup well against yoshi, that ridiculous sword reach he has and projectiles. Only think yoshi has on him is attack power and aerial, but TL pwns in everyway I can possibly think of. But as far as best matchup, definetly yoshi. Worst matchup might just be another toon link, but two of the same characters don't fight eachother that often so you might not have seen that matchup.

I dunno about Metaknight, I usually do really well against him with my friends. Toon link seems to have a lot of range and priority over him in regards to aerial attacks other than his fair, but I usually just use projectiles to compensate for that. I tend to do well against any character that likes to stay in the air.

The only two characters that currently have a problem with is Ike and Wolf. My friend tends to stay on the ground with those two characters, and the range on their attacks makes it particularly difficult for me to approach w/o simply spamming projectiles. Of course, I didn't know about double arrows in a shorthop, so that might help. But Wolf long roll makes it extremely hard to punish and his long-reaching fsmash is hard to approach as well. Toon links dash attack...isn't that great, and a dash-upsmash doesn't have enough range to reach the two in time.

I agree that Ike is hard(er) to deal with, because his reach is just so long. Meta-Knight I have a problem with too, because it seems they have equal priority, but metaknight has longer moves and/or more attacks in a move, so he usually ends up winning.

Need more play time to really determine this. Oh, and Pit's annoying as hell too.
