An effective way to use the psi magnet's pushback

hi, i tried doing this last night but it didn't really work. I know the psi magnet has apush back effect, so i wanted to try it whaen a foe was using their rush attack. i'd push back then pk fire into a fire bat or throw. has anyone got any good ideas about how to utilize the push back?

Wicked spike against Ness/Lucas. Absorb his PK thunder then push him back upon release.

Last time i checked only Lucas' psi magnet had a pushback effect.

no, lucas's actually shocks you. kinda like a mix of the thunder jacket and fox's shine. ness's push's back with a magnetic pulse. like fludd water of squirtle's water gun.

The pushback is too useless. The amount it pushes you back is tiny, and definitely not enough to combo into.
