If fox loses top tier, will people still play him?

Now I know there are alot of fair weather people out there, so I'm sure alot of people that played smash picked characters solely on how good they were. Don't get me wrong I like fox and all he's just not as sewn into my heart as yoshi. But I was wondering how many people would ditch fox at the first sign of him being mid tier and say go to ike or whoever the new top tier is.

I will play as him all of the time. He is one of my favorite characters. Fox is such a cool character.

I play with him since the 64, and used him in Melee before knowing he was a Top Tier. It doesn't matter if hew is going to the botton now, I'm still maining him!

Obs: Obviously, I doubt he is going down. Might not the in the Top again, but he is very good.

If you've never played Melee I am glad to tell you Kirby hasn't changed at all.

Not to bash you Fox players who actually play him because you like HIM, not his god tier status in Melee, but in my opinion there will definitely be a decrease in the sightings of Fox in tournaments.

Of course, this is not just for Fox, but I believe we'll be seeing a lot less Marth's and Sheik's as well. But maybe I'm underestimating the community. Who knows.

I think Fox will stay high tier but there is a lot more competition from some of the newer characters this time around. I think PT especially may give Fox a run for his money.

You can't really judge how good he is going to be now! Normally when a game comes out the easy-but-effective things work very well, as no counters are developed yet. For example, when melee was new shiek was the best. Now she is not. Give all the characters time.

I for one will play him as long as he is good on MY tier list. What I mean is I don't play a character because he is good, I play a character that I feel fits me. I normally pick the best characters in games because I hate losing to people who are about equal skill to me. Then I figured they might be smarter. Oh well, to each his own, but I guess I am a tier *****

I'm not going to abandon him completely, but I don't think he'll be my main anymore.

I never really mained him in Melee. He was more of my last resort pick in tourneys. I was a bit of a drill-shine into Fsmashwhore. Though I also picked him for fun when playing my friends. He was good of course, but at least he was never Gouki/Akuma SF2 good.

Now that he seems less abusable in Brawl, I might play him even more than I did in Melee, though I'm pretty excited with Wolf's moveset.

I've liked fox since starfox on the SNES, the game's polygons amazed me at the time . I've played fox since ssb64 and I still plan on playing him no matter how much he's been nerfed. I am however still very excited to try other characters like sonic (I liked him a lot too) for fun.

I will admit, when I played Brawl and tried the new Fox I was thinking about not playing him anymore. But then I realized I was being idiotic. I will never stop playing Fox, he has always and will always be my favorite Nintendo character.

Fox was the first I mastered and he is one of my favorite characters from Nintendo. If he's dead last I would still play with him.


Now if they put Krystal in the series then I might care.
