I'm going to be participating in Gamestop's Brawl tournament and I've decided that I'm going to use Mario for the first round at midnight. I'm going to use Mario because he is very similar to how he was in Melee, so I"m practing on Melee with him. I already kick butt with him on Melee, but I'm training on Melee to get better with him before the tournament. I'm pretty sure the training will help becuase I don't wavedash or anything like of that such that is not in Brawl.

Anyways do you think the training will help or will it just confuse me when I try to battle with Mario in Brawl?

IDK man, I havn't played Brawl yet, and if it realy is more floaty, then try practicing with Mario AND Luigi, Luigi to help get used to floatyness. And don't use Mario's Fair against someone standing on the ground, every Mario video Mario tries that, he misses or gets sheild grabbed.... save Fair for spiking them down to their dooom.

Also practice with items on. Cuz they might use items.

Well, Fair on the ground is a good combo starter, you'll probably just have to throw a fireball in first.;)

i played mario a little bit and as for tips i can say that you have alot better recovery and his b-air is ALOT better and he is a little bit more floaty (everyone is) so dont be suprised if you can intercept with his f-air easier
