People hate Game And Watch because their parents neglected them, thus they never had a proper childhood. When the kids grew up with Zelda and Mario, they never heard of Game and Watch, thus their first reaction when they saw him was 'Who?', now this is similar to Marth and Roy, however, he does not have any shiny swords, capes clothing or anything, no, he's just a 2d figure, a black 2d figure that just walks around and makes annoying sounds and oH GOD I HATE THAT BELL TAUNT WHEN YOU KILL ME WHY DO ALL MY FRIENDS PLAY YOU GO JUMP OFF 20 SKYSCRAPERS YOU STUPID !@#$$#3#%$$#%^$#

I hate Game and Watch for a couple of reasons:

1) He makes annoying sounds
2) His jerky movements look a little dumb (already dreading wario)
3) My brother plays him
4) I've tried playing him, and his complete dearth of useable moves (this is in Melee) is just completely frustrating. He also has a terrible shield and roll, and is so light he dies at very low percentages. I realize he is *technically* better than a couple of other low tier characters, but, in my opinion, his is the worst character in melee.

IMO, flaming people because of the way the spell things is stupid (unless they spell things way off like, I dunno, kap tin falken). Generally people spell like that on the internet. I think people freak out 'cause (I say this 'cause I guess I am one) they're too nerdy, and seeing misspelled words gets them butt hurt. Haha jk
But I guess people get the impression that in forums you have to type correctly, and when ppl type like dis they get flamed. Then in order to stop with the annoying flames, people start typing right (like me).

People who hate G&W see him as the version of themselves on how they are classified: a nerd/geek/dork. They see Fox and Falco as one of the cooler characters (the jocks), and main them because they couldn't get to where the real cool people were in the real world. And because they were raped by their mamas (which means I was kidding about the whole thing). :)

with me, though, when I first "hated" Game 'n' Watch, I was all like "how can you guys like him? he's slow and he flies so easily" but then one day about a month ago I felt like playing him (BTW I came across the game he was from during a :Gasp: smash lapse which eventually led me to be interested in him) and I thought, "geez, how could I have thought he was slow? his key move is pretty good, and manhole too! although he does fly fast. . ." and argued to myself the same words my buddies spoke to me three years ago: "but he's so strong!"

and now I'm a gameandwatch fan boy, through and through.

I love annoying people with the bell taunt, you can do it so often! and its so arrogant! it's great.
