Finding Tournaments

Hello. I'm a long-time Smash veteran. I've been playing the game ever since the 64 days. However, I want to play Brawl competitively. How do I go about this? Where do I find people who devote their time to Smash tournaments? I can't find anything within the proximity of my residence.
