falco's shine question

When i tested it out the other day, i hit both characters in front of me with a single shine. If this is the case (and i wasn't tripping out) that obviously makes the hitbox in front of falco bigger, but does it also give his shine more hit frames than the normal (fox's shine)?

I believe it hits when it's moving forward, so yeah more hit frames.

Fox's reflector only has. ONE hit frame? It's either you get hit when your next to him, or not a all.

To explain that why sometimes it hits, sometimes hits more than one person at the same time, and sometimes does hit at all:
Either the shine has:
1.Multiple hit frames (the shine flashing bigger, and then smaller?)
OR
2. The hitbox is at the very centre of the shine so it misses people slightly above and below.
