View Full Version : Green Missile Sweetspot?

Yo, i mained luigi in ssbm, and i was pretty good and competitive with him, so i decided to stick with him in SSBB. Anyway, i was playing at the NYC weekly, and noticed that the missile sweetspotted. You can see it around 2:55.

Not really sure how, i assume you just have to hit the edge perfectly, just thought you guys should know, it's much easier to recover with luigi now if you get this down.

The missile ended and Luigi sweetspotted. It wasn't during the missile animation I think.

No I'm pretty sure ir sweetspotted. In Melee there was an animation for getting your feet back under you and I didn't see it.

There could be much debate to this >.<

First look, it looks like it sweet spots. But then one could watch it again and say that the animation stopped RIGHT near the edge, and luigi grabbed the edge.

Either way, he stills "sweet spots" it, cleared animation or not.

One of the first things I checked when I unlocked him a couple weeks ago -- Missile into the ledge, and you'll grab it.

Add that to the fact that the cyclone is back to being as easy as it was in SSB64, not to mention insanely high, and the fact you can sweetspot JumpPunch, and Luigi is looking to jump a tier for Brawl. His recovery is SOOO much better.
