C-Stick Dair Question

I have a quick question for anyone who has brawl.

If you do Toon Link's dair with the c-stick but have him move in another direction (say left or right) with the control stick, does he still burst towards the ground really fast?

If he does not slam himself into the ground (or abyss ; ) ) as quickly, it would really help with using the dair to spike and not kill himself if he fails =D.

I believe the move has no Directional Influence at all, and he plunges straight down.

Someone will have to confirm this though.

confirmed. I have been playing him for days and have not yet discovered myself traveling any direction but down. However, after you hit something you bounce like in melee (only long enough for 1 more hit though instead of 2 more)

Using his Dair with the c-stick still results in him rushing towards the ground really fast. With that being said...there IS a way to slow down his dair. I do it on accident all the time, but I'm really not sure how i do it. Sometimes using is dair...instead of plummeting towards the ground he drops at the pace of Adult Link's dair (or even sometimes slower, almost like he's floating downwards). lol me and my friend are going to be playing a lot today so i'll try and figure it out.

i've been wating alot of batlles with toon link and i THINK i've figured out how they do it. when TL uses his dair while rising, he doesn't plunge to the ground; he stays in his jump's motion.

DMbrandon does it thrice in this video. once after his massive 6 bair combo 0.o

but notice how all of them happen only after hes getting hit...

i hope no one mentionsed this in any other thread yet. i haven't bothered to check. make myself look stupid -.-
