View Full Version : All you ever wanted to know about Peach's Final Smash
* It will only put enemies who are on the ground (which does not include clinging to the ledge) for the beginning of the dancing animation (well, for most of it, but not all of it) to sleep.
* It will inflict damage even if the victim(s) aren't grounded.
* How much damage is inflicted is dependent on how far away they are from Peach. Damages I've gotten so far are 40% and 10%.

Thx for the info. I'll add this to my Thread.

Would you be able to include the maximum time of sleep Yuna? It would be more reliable than watching a video.

Its 15 seconds at maximum...
And wait in videos I've seen people who were in the air fall asleep as they were landing.

Yeah, I've seen people fall slowly from the air, sleeping.

Yes, but they have to land during the initial part of the dance (the last part of it doesn't even put the enemies to sleep). Which means that as long as they stay off the ground (jump, 2nd jump, Up B), they won't fall asleep.
They actually have enough time to jump off the ground once the dance has started, so you can't even surprise them with it. Some characters will have a harder time staying off the ground for that long, but the attack itself is in no way a guaranteed hit.

Will it still rain peaches even if they damage them in the air? And how FAR does it go? I mean, there has to be some kind of ratio for this (I mean, it'd be hard to believe that Peach could do her FS at one corner of the Temple stage and still managed to get them to sleep/damage them at the far other corner of the stage.)

Will test it out tomorrow (Wednesday - remembered it wrong, I'm playing Brawl tomorrow, not on Thursday). Yes, the Peaches will still rain down even if she doesn't put her opponent(s) to sleep.

I have a feeling that the range is whoever is in the screen frame....

But doesnt the FS come out pretty fast?
Like could you.....Combo into it? I mean people dont have to use it right away right? So sooner aor later you'll hit them with it...

The animation starts right away, but the hit box doesn't come out right away.
You cannot combo into it since all of Peach's moves launch (or don't give away significant lag) now, including jab above 20 or so % and they don't go to sleep if they're in the air.

So would this final smash be best used in multiplayer matches or one on one matches?

would it be possible to put opponents who are trying to recover to sleep?
would it be possible to put opponents who are trying to recover to sleep?
No, because it does not put airborne (or even ledgegrabbing) opponents to sleep.

Yeah, I saw a clearer video and it didn't put Zelda to sleep when she was in the air, however, when she fell to the ground, the FS was still in progress, so she went to sleep as soon as she landed.
I'd like to add in that as well, depending on how far you are away from Peach, it also affects your sleep time.
Do you guys know if there's a way to use her FS on Pit? He always manages to fly, and eat my peaches >_< I always play without items, but my Pit-maining friend insists on turning Smash Balls on... and his FS is lethal against one single opponent.

There's not really a way to avoid that happening unless Pit uses his Up B or uses his last jump and is about to reach the ground... which is pretty hard to time for me. ^^; I mean he could just start gliding or after using his last jump just use his up B... kinda tricky...
My opinion on Peach's final smash? Even though nobody asked I'm going to share it. =P
At first when I saw it I thought it was awesome and lovely and cute and useful... now... it's still lovely and cute... but it's hella hard to pull it off successfully... opponents either jump or run straight for the ledges and it's hard to get them all, peaches fall ALL over the place and it's impossible to get them all without and opponent waking up and hitting you anyway... and even if your opponents get KOed if your damage is high they'll just respawn and eat all the peaches before you can anyway. Also stage hazards can easily wake your opponents up too...
Peach's final smash is interesting, and it gives her an upper hand... but in comparison to final smashes like Sonic's or Marth's it's not great or even good... so Peach players will have to try extra hard to make sure other characters don't get the smash ball first, which is a pain in the butt...
IMO it would have been nice if they KEPT the dancing animation and she just transformed into Super Princess Peach and Perry appeared and she could switch between emotions for like 10 seconds or so... then I could use the heal vibe and angry vibe and not have to worry about my opponents healing themselves or waking up. ^^;

Against Pit maybe you should combo him into it and not use it right away...Just surprise him with it...
