Alright, the other day we held a tourney to record and show off how Brawl can really be played. For the sake of this tourney and us learning how to use the characters we turned off all of the items including smashballs, and I can tell you that this will not be a constant, once we get the game down we will try out the items and smashballs to see what can and cannot be used. This is sort of a tourney to feel out the characters, but it went very well.

Anyways, a SoCal player who goes by PBody held a tourney this last sunday and we got pretty much all of the videos up right now!

Thanks for all of the uploads Gimpyfish, it seems like people are trying to play brawl like melee and it's not working a lot of the time. I'm curious to see how players adapt to brawl, even in the next couple of weeks.

Wario looked like he really sucks, but that guy probably hadn't really used him before, and with Wario it looks like it takes a lot of practice to use him effectively, so there's still hope!

Good stuff, just watched or at the least skimmed all the videos up there, great stuff. : ) Was really disappointed to see so many fox/marth's though, and the Zelda player using solo-shiek for so long. :x Shame on you guys, don't just play your old melee mains, Brawl!=Melee. (Yes, I'm aware it was a tourney technically and you may have thought your old main would give you the best chance, but still, bleeeh.)

I vastly underestimated Ivysaur it seems, I really thought he was the weakest link in PT until I watched these. And I keep seeing Pit being played very well which is cool, I love his insane recovery abilities.

I've also noticed how the winged chars can get these aerial combos on the non-winged chars if they have the right momentum. DEHF seemed to do it against that Zelda, which was cool.
