I'm starting to think Zelda because with all of these videos with Zelda...
Zelda just seems to be better than Peach this time around I mean Peach has no kill moves while Zelda does..And all the videos with Peach doesnt really show any potential IMO...

Because of reasons. I think questions like this are good since he's not generally using a character to face her with (then he'd have to post in the said character's forum)

Anyway, I think the best type of character you should use is someone who is either speedy or can combo good or both. Like Meta Knight, or maybe Sonic. In any case, I recommand you just try and search for a character you feel might beat peach.

Well, I'm trying to decide who my alt. should be, so I figured that my alt. should be the one that is best against Peach.

I had originally planned to post this a little later, but I figure this thread can exist until the release here in the states.

Youre alternate, if you're gonna have one, should be whoever is best against Peach's worst match up. I don't see why it would be whoevers best against Peach unless you like despise Peach dittos or something.

Again, it's hard and too early to determine a counter for Peach. even for people who played the game, it still doesn't mean what they say would be a automatic counter.

The best you can do is wait till the US version comes out and then try to find a counter. If you can't, then...I dunno what to tell you.

Well... I can't really say. I play PT, and out of the three, I think that Charizard is the bet against Peach. I know that it's early and that not a lot of people like him, but he's my choice out of the three. He's got juuuust enough range on many attacks to outspace her and has ample killing power. He has a few ways of getting around her shield that I like and up B out of shield is a great finisher on her.

Though, you need to work with the other two pokemon as well, so I don' know if you're willing to go through that trouble. The others don't have a terrible matchup with her, but IMO Chariard is best.

I'd say it's important to know, so you can prepare for these sort of picks. If you know how an opponent will attack, and who he will choose, at least most of the time, it makes it easier to plan against him.

I actually rather like how Zero Suit Samus seems to play... kind of like a faster, weaker Captain Falcon with Sheik-like grace.

I'll probably end up going with Toon Link, unless anyone can give me a solid response otherwise.

Yeah, the armor attacking is pretty cheap. But Zero Suit Samus is starting to look like a great character to me... she just might end up being my second main.

Well I got some info on Peach fighting some characters from a day of playing with her for the first time:

The Characters that give Peach the most trouble from what I seen are Meta, Pit and Marth. Its Hard to get inside them. But Marth seems to be the worst out of them all. Turnips and back airs are a must when fighting them. And Marth seems to be her counter again. I could not beat my friends Marth with Peach, but the other sword people I could. Marth still has a good edguard on her. So its Hard to return. and he can still combo her. Not as well as melle though so us Peach players get a break there. You have to figure out a way to get inside these characters to do gamage. So once you get them off stage keep them out.

She does well against Link and Zelda thus far from what I see. But Zelda is more faster now and her hit boxes are bigger. So spacing is key when fighting Zelda. Same with Link. Bit your back air can go through most of his stuff. And she is also good against Ike cause of how slow he is. But when in range he can combo peach well, so watch out for that.

I'd say yoshi. he's buffed up a tad from melee and in melee he could jump higher (with basic jumps) run faster, hit harder, best meteor smash and percentage racking airs. At least that's who I usually use to combat, well almost everyone.

Space all your moves to get inside him and land a clean hit off him. Her jab does well against him to get inside.

sadly enough, if Peach were real, from how she acts in Smash, this strategy would work. :laugh:
