Peach: High Tier?

I rarely see Peach on any youtube videos and it makes me believe that she is pretty hard to master in such a short time (either that or they do not want to play as a pretty princess). I heard she had some nerfs, but also many buffs, including more KO moves, being heavier, and improved attack speed. If this is true, I believe that she will even be better than before, maybe even getting a spot in the high tiers like she did in Melee?

I did read that Peach was high tier in melee.

apparently her down a (Royal sweep?) is nerfed, but her peach bomber is faster, I think the concensus is she got alot faster in brawl.

Peach is a actually a very good character, but unlike fox/Ike/Meta knight isn't very "Badass" and therefore doesn't get much useage.

Jokes aside, Peach is probably up there. She was the 5th best in Melee. I'm really against her being buffed since I want Brawl to be as balanced as possible.

Now from what I get, her recovery is significantly worse, because her double jump goes less high, and her Parasol falls a LOT slower, meaning it will be easier for one, characters to jump or fire projectiles at her recovery level, and two, easier to anticipate where she will go.

Less D-smash abuse means she'll also be a harder character to n00b with. I'm really, really hoping this keeps her from becoming too good.

Anyways, I already know about the changes to her thanks to the stuff that came out of E For All last year. I think I'll watch some videos of her on YouTube tomorrow (along with Jigglypuff...I've only watched one video of that character in action so far)

I hope tiers aren't as much of an issue as they were in Melee... but I'd still like to see Peach in around high to mid tier... I don't want her to be too high because then everybody and their grandmom will try to master her and I'll feel less special since I'm a Peach mainer for the fact that I love PEACH herself... not just because I like her moves... and I don't want her to be too low for obvious reasons. Yes, and with L-canceling taken out, other characters don't stand a chance. Peach will be faster than she was in melee, which for some peach players was pretty **** fast.

But then again, Marth is looking pretty broken too, and may just be the Peach counter we need. He was given a few extra kill moves to make up for nerfed edgeguarding, and he's just as fast as his melee L-canceled self. He'll be Peach's worst nightmare (Peach wasn't the only high tier that was buffed). Muhahahaha

I agree, the reason I used peach besides the fact that I always adored her is that everyone I know plays just the sworsmen. So yeah hope shes great but not to, even if that means I have to readjust and I know I will. I always loved getting with a group of guys, playing peach, and knocking heads with radishes of course.

Peach was High Tier in the original, so Top Tier in this game seems likely with all the buffs. It really depends on how she compares to others.

Anyway, it's way too early to say if she's high tier or god tier or not. There's a lot of things to consider. Her way of playing, her odds against opponents, her abilities, everything. We can't assume at all unless we play it. even if we see pros play her, she won't be instant tier like that.

Our best bet is to wait till the game comes out IN AMERICA, play it, and then debate.

This is not how creation of tiers work, people.

from what ive seen... top/high tier guys are

falco (best approacher yet again)
marth (long reach quick and strong)
peach (great ground game)
robot (seems strong, pretty quick, good moves and great recovery)
meta (combo god)
diddy (all his moves have great potential)
fox (if they find a new use for his shine hes definitely gonna be a god again)

To be honest the thing I played around with the most (btw I was in a free for all battle) was her FCing. I wanted to see what I could really do with it or if I could do everything, and such (out of shield fc nairing etc..). The exploration I wanted didn't extend as far as that (and I got a taste of her FS too haha). Actually on when I play it this week I'd like to make my own observation thread for what it's worth, on what I can try with her. But I've heard her forward throw is ridiculous.
