Pit can fire arrows straight up, thus making Links downward thrust less likly to hit and more likly to get link shot up his ***.

I know Link has some advantages over Pit, Link is proberably heavier and wont get knocked out at suck a low percentage, but who cares. Pit is different, everyone round where I live uses either Link, Falco or Marth.
Thought I have to admit the upgrade for his boomerang could make for some interesting combos.

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, I think Pit looks better.

But at this stage, that means absolutely nothing. Hardly anyone's played the game, and you never know what possibly could be discovered.

Pit seems faster on the attacks with a better type of recovery (I think the only one with a recovery like it is Snake). Link is likely to be stronger overall with more versatile B-Moves (Most of Pit's seem to be made to deflect projectiles, which make up most of Link's moves, no less, but Link's neutral stance is something of a protection from most projectiles as it is).

I don't really plan on playing as Pit (I may as well try him now that there are comparisons to him around here), and we can only know so much right now about a speedy-looking newcomer when comparing him to a veteran who's been improved from the previos game.

EDIT: And the video doesn't really help when the players both suck.

-@roys amazing: You need to learn common sense, there was no "better character" in melee, it all depended on the skill of the player. You obviously don't seem to realize this, probably being that you joined yesterday (or today, whatever, I don't really care about your life story) I won't be so harsh on you yet. You are right, i cant tell who is better because the game isnt out, but the person who started the topic didnt seem to me like he was asking for a factual statment about who was the better character. Though he did post all of two words, its hard to understand what he wanted. I gave my oppinion. as far as im aware pit does have a better recovery, this might be my oppinion again but four jumps and his 'wings of icarus' move seem to me to be better than two jumps and links spin attack. Also Pit has two moves capable of reflecting projectiles compared to links 0, this is more, though again I suppose its my opinion that two is better than none. as for the last piece of 'false information', as far as I can tell pit CAN fire his arrow vertical, which could possibly give him an advantage against people attacking from above, like my example of links downward thrust.

I dont care to go into too much more . though i would like to commend you for your friendly response, and nice words about me, someone you dont even know. I'd rather you didnt call me a moron as you dont even know me. I didnt start this topic, I just thought id voice my opinion sorry if you didnt like it.

Perhaps contact someone to lock the thread as its gone a bit 'off topic' and is also apparently "pointless".

There is something called a tier list.
I suggest you look at it.
Skill+high tier>Skill+low tier

If two equally skilled people face off then depending on what character is being used the outcome will be clear.
