Could Kirby swallow a pikmin?

Kirby has been said to swallow items, so why not a pikmin?
Some pikmin are electrical, incendiary and poisonous, so Kirby could pick that up.
It would be a nice touch, IMO.

It would be neat if Kirby could pick up "types" as well as character hats in Brawl. In this vein, different pikmin could yield different types when swallowed. If items end up being banned (likely), this would be Kirby's way of maintaining such a type-based copy ability.

I agree with ph00tbag, it would be neat, but really I doubt he will be able to swallow individual pikmin. I wouldn't be surprised though if his suck pulled them towards him and they got stuck to him, who knows, maybe Olimar is one of the hardest people to suck in?

Possible Powers:

Yellow Pikmin - Spark Kirby
Red Pikmin - Fire Kirby
Blue Pikmin - Scuba Kirby
White Pikmin - Perhaps if Kirby swallowed a White Pikmin, he would slowly take damage instead of gaining any powers. Since White Pikmin are poisonous and all.
Purple Pikmin - Giant Kirby (Equal to eating a Super Mushroom)

i'm curious to know what benefits olimar-kirby will have. without olimars other moves to control the pikmin, the standard "pluck" move seems useless.

With the knowledge that Kirby can swallow items, why not Pikmin?

They are, after all, part of the character.
