there hasnt been much bout this but shortfuse is working on translations confirmed that IKE IS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE ROY (slower then roy much but more powerful)

as of now his moveset hasnt been changed

still has bad recovery

ike is faster now what i mean is the pre-lag on his atk have been decreased

from shortfuse: ike is still GOD TIER IN TERMS OF POWER but i like it looks like that ike can be played competitvly

In all seriousness, I have really been hoping that Ike would get buffed, so this is indeed significant, excellent news. Hopefully his recovery will recieve some buffs as well.

the reasoning is indirect. there are little to complaints about his speed. everyone is saying he's like roy (minus the movesets). it pretty much screams POST-E4ALL-TWEAKING!

That is good I played him at eforall and I liked him but he seemed too slow to be playable. I wonder if giving him more speed means they took away his power though, cause he could hit things hard

Apparently not, they're saying he still hits like a Mack truck. And from that same thread they have percent data for his attacks...and it's pretty high stuff.

Roy is the closest thing there is to Marth without being Marth, who is my main. So this sounds like I might LOVE Ike.

I was saying get the foe up in the air, do up air at the right strike, then do up b. The foe can't move and then they will get comboed. It's hard to explan it because I didn't see anyone try to do it.

I think most of us knew he would get tweaked from E for All. Sakurai could have tweaked him because he thought he made him overpowered for FFA, so he cut his power down and made him faster to balance him out(making him better in 1 on 1 as a result).

Yes, same here, all I do is 1v1 most of the time, but I find teams appealing too. I'm going to go into the competitive scene with Brawl, though I don't really know who I'm going to use yet, Lucario would be my main if he gets in, but I don't really know who I'm going to use for competitive matches(unless Lucario is in).
