A jumpfiesta video showing Kirby's FS, but I noticed somthing important

At about :08~:10 you see Kirby activate the FS, but the character on the far left of the screen and the one on the far right falling to his imminent doom seem to be unaffected by this FS. Judging from those affected as well, Kirby's FS seems to have a medium range of effect and I am not sure of this, doesnt guarantee Spicy Curry production.

Your Thoughts?

It depends on how many things get sucked in the pot I belive, because I saw an item get sucked in the pot as well. But his range is at least half of the stage.

It would be lame if it wasn't able to be avoided, most final smashes that we've seen can be avoided in some way, kirby shouldn't be an exception

I'm gonna kick a dead horse here and ask if the Peach one was avoidable.

I never thought his Final Smash can store up items as well as foes though. Well one delay of why he wasn't playable in E for All.

I think Diddy or whoever was at the left didn't get affected because he just fell on the ground or something and Ike wasn't affected because he was in the air.

I saw this video on nico. The quality is horrible and you can hardly tell what's going on. There may be certain circumstances that exempt characters from being sucked up. For example, if the character jumps off the stage into the open and then recovers back to the stage after the FS has been activated, he will probably not be affected. The people at JumpFesta said that Kirby's FS affects the majority of the stage so it could also be ineffective if the character is at the edge of the stage or hanging on the edge.

Yes, it only affects players on the ground.

Well this prove that Kirby is turning into his evil 64 self. If he get's top tier again, that would be too much.

But his final smash has a great range of catching enemies.

i was expecting it to have the range of, say, DK's final smash, where there is a circular area surrounding kirby that causes you to be sucked into the pot. all the characters on the screen just getting thrown in would make the FS too good

too good? i think giga bowser is a little too good if you ask me. giga bowser makes cook kirby seem terrible.

I think the main force behind Cook Kirby is the gamble of making and grabbing Spicy Curry before your opponents recover. But yea against Giga Bowser, Kirby will just be utterly destroyed.

Giga as a flaw as well, he's too big. When fighting someone that is too small, he can't hit them, even when he does is ground attacks. Ok it takes practice to understand that.

But Kirby's is kind of too good, he put's foe's as well as items in the pot at a good radius, and if your at a good percent when he does it, (means around 50 or so), it kills you.

well it didn't look as if i had the power of, say metaknights, but if you get the items you can certanly make up for that. as for giga, not to get off topic, but i think i saw his D & F smash do massive range kill.

Yes, it only affects players on the ground.

But it still does damage regardless.......

I'm glad its avoidable....I heard that it does 35% of damage...

Giga Bowser had no problems hitting characters, no matter how small they were. Giga Bowser was pretty broken as far as Final Smashes went. You basically could use it whenever you wanted and then proceed to destroy your opponent(s).

I want to say, how do you not know how to bind for time in that move. T_T

I was doging all day when someone went Giga on me in E for All, lol. Maybe due to me playing him using the Action Replay???

On Topic: Kirby's Final Smash is unknown to be doged, but can be avoided.

It looked liked when it was activated, diddy kong rolled from being knocked on the ground. The other character was knocked out too. Maybe it only catches non-knocked out players? =/

In the video it looked like it caught opponents who were in close proximity to Kirby.
