Kirby's Altered Moveset

I was searching and nothing came up about this topic so if there is one, feel free to lock this mods.

Well I was watching a few videos and wanted to point out some differences in kirby's moves.

forward B air:

In melee he does a vertical spin with his hammer.

In brawl however he does two horizontal hits with the hammer. I couldn't really tell how fast it is performed due to the lack of quality of the video. The second hit seemed to come out a tad slow but then again that might also just be me :psycho:

dash A:

In melee kirby would dash forward in his fire kirby form

In brawl he seems to do an upside down spin that looks like the yo yo kirby's ability. It looked less laggy then the fire kirby dash.

Forward throw: (take this info lightly as I am not sure and is only a thought)

In melee this could be used in a kirby-cide to take yourself down with your opponent as kirby throws himself forward along with his opponent

This just might be me being crazy again but I saw kirby use this throw in a video and didn't seem to go forward. It might allow you to DI it a bit after he jumps up but I'm not too sure about this one. It might just be me :dizzy:


Well that's all I seemed to notice. Anyone else see any changes?

Kirby is definitly heavier. Move-wise, you covered what was on my mind.

I hope not, because of that, the stone had too much lag time. Transforming into things take time.

Back in Kirby Super Star, Kirby could turn into:
A "Kirby Trophy", Samus, Mario, "Discus Man (He's Naked In A Loin Clothes)", 100 ton, and just a plain ole block with Kirby's face (Squinty eyes).

Hope we get some of those, or even new ones.

I have just looked at the Jump Festa video that had Kirby footage. It seems like two of Kirby's specials are shown...Final Cutter and the Stone. It seems like the Stone remains the same, complete with the same lag, although I am certain that Final Cutter seemed quicker with its projectile going farther. I hope the other moves are altered/buffed to be competitive.

Well if he is heavier thats a good thing, he just might be better then the SSBB version.

Read the other threads... We already know everything from the SSE videos. What we need now is info from Jumpfesta where he was playable, but with the language barrier it doesn't seem like we can get anything useful.
