Soren is still a no-name mercenary in Ike's group and is not important to the main story. Yes, he does appear in cut scene dialogue frequently but you don't see any chapters where you get a game over in both PoR and RD if he dies, don't you? Micaiah, dare I say, has a better chance at appearing than Soren.

Not to mention, Soren is also emo

and emos can continue cutting themselves

as for other characters, I wasn't sayign that other characters in the games are just as or more important than the lords, I was just say that there are others that are important enough to be considered, such as Sothe, Geoffrey (another lance user) Lucia, etc...

Sothe was apparently confirmed in Japan that he was an AT. Spilling the info.

This is odd, there are actually a lot of people posting here now.

I am going to say this again, because pretty much everywhere I post I say it lately- I will not miss all this speculation, which basically reflects all of our desires to know everything, so we have all these rules for which a character is likely/ not likely to appear as a PC. 14 more days everyone, and all this debate can be put to rest.

Even if I don't like the other choices for FE reps, I'm glad Ike is in, then.

(Seeing a clear video of Ike's FS is cool.)

His relevance to the story is incontrovertible. =] He's the main character's best friend, for starters, and tied in many ways to many of the subplots of the game.

Anyway, he's got almost no shot at making it in, so, defending your stance with such immature slander is laughable and childish. .... yeah.

You guys were just speculating then? Hm, I did make a speculation topic here on the appearance of PoR/RD units. You guys were making him look like the next Megaman in terms of popularity, however. My bad

Heh, good job, you witnessed one of my major pet peeves.

Emo and shallow behavior, spread the word and get used to it.

Tch, not like I had high hopes for Soren (it was basically a good idea), but on the chance he did... I would be glad. (understatement)

...Ugh, the longer I am on these boards, and the more stupid/ignorant/judgmental/generally bad posts I see in all this speculation, the more I feel like I should leave before I have a hissy fit or something.

Let's get back to the subject of Ike. So... how about that headband, ya? ^^

blah. whatever. all i was saying is that i'd like for him to be in brawl.
it's not like i made any super heavy duty reason to support it. like you people who are all like delving sooo deeply into the stories of PoR and RD to be like "blah blah blah mecciah blah blah blah some other person!"
who cares. Ike rocks. and if he's the only FE rep in Brawl, that's good enough for me... RIGHT TORCHIK?!

its kind of a bummer that Ike is a slow powerhouse, as thats not really my game. he'll be my favorite character hands down, but prolly not my best. it'll be a blast being him in free-for-alls though. in the videos, he's sitting there koing left and right!

If you want to use Ike that badly but still bummed on how he performs then start practicing in Melee or Smash 64 with slow characters to help you get a better feel of Ike when you get your hands on Brawl eventually.

Ike's headband... i must say, it is pretty cool, pwns a tiara anyday. I liek the green costumes' headband, it's gold. :D

yeah, marth was cool but that tiara... idk... not as cool as a beaten headband. plus how he'd play with his hair when idle. lol... kinda odd.
but... i'd prob. do the same thing if i was marth. EMO HAIR FTW!

ok nvm. thank goodness i don't have emo hair. but if i died my hair blue and put some gel in it, i could pull off an Ike look!
though sometimes in the screenshots on the DOJO!!, his hair looks more purple -_-

If that were the case, 'ZOMG IKE IS MARTH'S ANCESTOR LAWLZ'. Except, sarcasm or not: Ike didn't lose any female family members except his mother, who didn't wear a tiara. :)

even then the tiara would be on his forehead therefore making it a crown, so no. Headband (even if it did have a tiara underneath) is still > tiara.

....Wow, that's an interesting discussion. If Ike had a tiara I would have to burn it, shake him, hand him his head band and walk away. Well, not the last part. I would definetly stay with him forever if I had that chance. ^_^

why on earth would he want to? it's freakin' awesome. cuz after he kills someone, he can be like "OOOH! YOU ARE DEAD! AND YOU DON'T HAVE AN AWESOME HEADBAND EITHER! GWAHAHAHA!"

hoooray for ike. btw, does anyone read the stuff on IGN.com about brawl? today they had like the top 10 newcomers and they placed ike 4th... (3: metaknight, 2: Sonic, 1: Snake)
dissapointing. and then they said that "nobody knows ike" but they did call him the "anti-button masher" which is pretty true. Ike's gonna be all about perfect timing. unlike MK, now he is a button masher to the max.

As I am really lazy, I usually only read like, 3 posts up. Baargh.

Yeah, I don't like those button mashers... you know I had a friend who used to always use Kirby and try to use Rock Bottom constantly. Annoying. Not looking forward to MK X_X

And that headband, I would wear it (if they sold them like they sell them Naruto headbands)

Looking at today's update, if there are stickers to increase attack speed... Ike will slaughter legions of Primids. :D

O_O wow good point. I never thought about speed powerups. for some reason, i just thought of magic, defense, attack... that was it really. lol. i should have thought more about those. but yeah, if ike can move a lot faster, he'll be an unstoppable killing machine alright.

and what you said reminds me of a birthday party i had when i was in like 4th grade. we played SSB for the N64 and one of my friends kept using kirby's rock move over and over. and another friend kept carrying people off the stage with DK. lol... so fun though.

This is going to be the most fun with stickers since... er... third grade, or something. There was a Joshua sticker, with a cool hat.
