I saw a post about Ike about a week ago, and i cant find it again, but it said Ike's F-smash has spike properties when u hit someone off the edge with it. In this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPWo-ardDj8 at 1:01 Ike performs his f-smash to link at the edge while hes trying to get back however it hits him upwards. Does anyone know if its a sweetspot that does it or if it just doesn't actually do it at all.

From the looks of that I doubt it spikes. Maybe if you got a tipper it might spike.

Ike's f-smash probably doesn't spike, I'm willing to bet that only his d-air spikes or maybe his side-b.

I don't know if Link's D-air in Melee spiked... if it didn't.. Ike's won't either...

But from guesses .... people say his side-b would spike.. have yet to see it.. but i think they are going off of the fact that it is a lot like fox and falco's side-b from Melee..

I agree about the no spike with f-smash....... but what about the f-air?

I heard his sideB is a very good spike. The Fair seems like it would be a spike...

Links d-air doesn't spike, it sends people straight up, maybe Ike's will do the same thing. Have not seen him do his f-air that much, but if i recall, he flips with his sword(think Ice Climbers f-air) so it could very well be a spike.

Ike's Fair is he flicks his sword downward. It's in this video (http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=6gZw4oecFi4) at 0:17.

the sword stroke of his nair looks like it would spike

I was thinking much of the same thing... except we saw very little... if any ... use of the Nair at E4 all. If someone is caught at the bottom of the Nair.. i would like to think they would be thrown down... possible spike... hard to tell with the current abilities of Ike

Link and Y. Link's Dairs DO spike in Melee, just not in any natural and understandable way. They spike when the hilt of the sword contacts the opponent instead of the blade. No, no I don't understand why, nobody does.

Ike's Nair, Fair, Dair (and maybe Eruption) look like they could spike. However its hard to tell without trying all the ways to attack with them.

eruption always sends enemy up while in the air or on the ground

and maybe it was just me but ike was pretty **** fast in that video

It's only Y. Links D-air that spikes.

Samuraipanda was confused, there's a video with two Ikes in skyworld, where one is on a platform and one is below. DK gets hit by the Ike on the bottom and gets sent flying and bounces off the top platform the same time the top Ike is doing a f-smash, making it look like the Ike spiked him, but he didn't.
